Step 1: Create an API key in your CallRail dashboard. CallRail Support Documentation
- Enter the drop down menu on the right side of the Navigation Bar
- Click on 'View my profile'
- Click on the 'Api Keys' link in the menu on the left
- Click the button to 'Create New Api V3 Key' to create and display your key
- Capture your newly generated key
Step 2: Create a connection in ChannelMix Control Center. Add a Connection Name and input the API Key you generated in Step One.
Channelmix Profiles are one to one with your CallRail account. So there are not any Profile specific values to select. After linking a profile you will be ready to activate.
The CallRail API defaults to the account time zone. Some endpoints support requests for other time zones, but our standard datasets are locked into the account time zone. If you want to know more about it, you can read about it here: https://apidocs.callrail.com/#time-zones
API Connection Explained
ChannelMix uses the Call endpoint to build our standard dataset. This endpoint supports field selection and filtering. The call datasets can be configured to pull additional fields, or filtering on specific values. More information on what is available to be requested can be found here: https://apidocs.callrail.com/#calls
After setting up the connection, you can automatically activate the recommended datasets (documented below) without submitting a ticket through Dataset Activation.
Other fields may be available, but these are a great place to start if you are new to reporting with this source.
CallRail is not currently included as a OneView source. Let us know if you'd like to update your dashboards to include CallRail, and ChannelMix can quickly customize your experience so this data is included!
