Snapchat Ads | Notice of Oracle Targeting deprecation from the Snap API
February 2025
Below is an announcement that was copy/pasted from the Snap API Announcements (see the announcement here). This announcement is provided to inform users in the event that any data is found to be missing from their campaigns.
As of the 27 September 2024 Snap will stop offering Oracle targeting options.
On the 30th September any Oracle supplied targeting will be removed, this includes:
- Custom Audience segments supplied by Oracle (not listed in our API docs as it’s an Oracle integration)
- Ad Squads that use Oracle (DLX) Interest targeting (DLXS, DLXP, DLXC)
- Ad Squads that use Oracle (DLXD) Advanced Demographics targeting, note that this endpoint also offers a lot of non-Oracle targeting options that are unaffected.
The behavior of the Ad Squad after removal of Oracle elements depends on the remaining targeting:
- Ad squads that have additional Audience targeting such as Advanced Demographics, Custom Audiences, and/or any type of Interest Targeting ( Nielsen, First party Visitation , Snap Lifestyle Categories etc) will continue to serve after the DLX audiences have been removed. You may wish to adjust the targeting of these Ad Squads to better reflect the targeting you desire.
- Ad squads that have only Geolocation, Zipcode, Demographic, Postcode, Device or any other type of targeting will be automatically paused by Snap after the DLX audiences and targeting have been removed. These Ad Squads can be unpaused in order to start serving again.

Google Sheets | Data consistency announcement
November 2024
InMarket’s (previously ChannelMix) connection to Google Sheets is in the process of being enhanced to support dataset activation! While the team works to make dataset activation available for this source, we need to ensure consistent data configuration for all data loading into ChannelMix via Google Sheets.
The following formatting options will no longer be supported. Google Sheets that do not meet the formatting requirements will need to be updated to continue loading to ChannelMix.
- Unique Column Header Names: All columns should be uniquely named. If multiple column headers have the same name the user will be required to update the data so that all column headers are unique.
- Column Header Names in the First Row: Data headers must begin in the first row and should be immediately followed by data values in the second row.
- Comment/Notes will not be Included: Sheets can include Notes and Comments but any values included in the notes/comments will not be included when ingested into ChannelMix.
Strongly recommendations data formatting
- Data Type Consistency: Columns that are not consistent will be stored as strings. String values cannot be used with aggregate functions. For example, if a column is intended to be “cost” but also includes “n/a” values then the entire column must be stored as a string. Recommend that all data types remain consistent throughout the entire sheet.
