The ChannelMix integration with Facebook Ads uses the Meta Marketing Insights API to automate reports into a ChannelMix data warehouse.
Currently supporting v15.
ChannelMix uses a user authentication process to automate data from Facebook Ads. The user that you use to authenticate this source will control the data that ChannelMix has access to automate. If the user does not have access to a Meta Business Account then ChannelMix will not be able to automate Ads data.
Again, this connection is made using a Facebook Business Manager account. In some cases, you may have the Facebook Business Manager account associated to your personal Facebook account. Don't fret, ChannelMix will not pull any personal information unless you associate a profile to your personal account.
Profile Association and Values
A ChannelMix Profile is a one to one relationship to a Facebook Ads account. If multiple Ads Accounts are needed then you should create mutliple ChannelMix Profiles under the client needing to connect to multiple Ads Accounts.
If your use-case requires your account to be filtered below the Ads Account level (i.e. you need your ChannelMix Profile to only be specific campaigns under an account), it is possible in ChannelMix but you'll need to submit a request to our support team to help define that ChannelMix Profile for you.
Time Zone Reporting
Facebook Ads (Meta Ads) reports all data in the time zone that is set on the Ads Account from which you are pulling data. If you are unsure about the Ads Account settings on your acocunt, check out this article about how to update the Time Zone in your Ads account.
The ChannelMix standard Facebook Ads datasets are documented below. Custom dataset configurations are available upon request.
