Google Search Console | Top Queries Dataset
Below are the measures and dimensions Alight Analytics considers standard for Google Search Console Top Queries dataset. There is a three day lag on Google Search Console and data is pulled for the previous 4 days. Unsettled data can be pulled with no lag upon request. This data can be back-fill for the past 16 months.
By default, the top 1,000 queries are included in this report.
This dataset can be automatically activated without a ticket through Dataset Activation.
Field Name | Type | Description |
Report Date | Date | The date the activity occurred. |
Query | Dimension | Group results by query strings that users searched for on Google. Only searches that returned your site will be included. Very rare queries are not shown in these results to protect the privacy of the user making the query. |
Site URL | Dimension | The site URL |
Clicks | Whole Number | Count of clicks from a Google search results page that landed the user on your property. |
Impressions | Whole Number | How many links to your site a user saw on Google search results, even if the link was not scrolled into view. However, if a user views only page 1 and the link is on page 2, the impression is not counted. |
Average Position | Decimal Fraction | The average position of the topmost result from your site |
Insert Date | Dimension | Internal use: when the row was inserted in the table |
