Cost Markup and Fees | Implementation and Mapping
Overview
What are cost markup and fees? Cost markup refers to the practice where an organization applies a percentage charge on top of media costs to cover the expense of managing media campaigns. Fees refer to one time, monthly, or daily charges applied to total cost. An example of a fee could be a marketing agency charging a monthly fee for managing a client's social media.
What is/isn't Supported?
- Markup and fees can be applied based on:
- Client Name
- Profile Name
- Data Source (e.g. Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.)
- Start/End Date
- InMarket currently does not support markup and fees based on:
- Channel (e.g. Display, Video, Paid Search, etc.)
- Any other additional dimensions that are more granular than data source, like campaign, ad group, creative, etc.
What does InMarket do?
InMarket will provide a Google Sheet that looks like the image at the bottom of this page.
- This Google Sheet will be in the "ChannelMix Source Files" folder within the Google Drive folder that is shared with you.
- The CMX Client Name, CMX Profile Name, and Data Source drop down fields will be populated automatically with all available client, profile, and data source combinations in your data.
- InMarket will automatically refresh the data from the "Markup & Fees" tab every 2 hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM CT daily.
